MAIGNAN AND RABIOT'S WINNING OPENER FOR FRANCE A winning start for France at the World Cup. Deschamp's side beat Senegal  3-1 in New York  in their opening Group I match. In the second half, Senegal pulled one back late-on through  Mbaye , but Mbappé responded immediately with a stunning strike from long range to seal the 3-1 victory.
