Real Madrid agree to terminate midfielder’s contract as homecoming nears

Real Madrid agree to terminate midfielder’s contract as homecoming nears Real Madrid have already sealed four signings this summer, and while there is more to come, exits must also be considered. Dani Carvajal and David Alaba are departing when they contracts expire at the end of the month, but more are on the way – and the next of those is set to be finalised in the next few days. Given that Real Madrid are pushing hard to sign Enzo Fernandez , there is scope for one or two midfielders to move on, especially as Bernardo Silva has already joined. Eduardo Camavinga has been linked with a possible exit, but someone that’s definitely leaving the Bernabeu is Dani Ceballos. Ceballos, who joined Real Madrid nine years ago, has struggled for prominence over the last couple of seasons. He was cast aside completely after a falling out with Alvaro Arbeloa in the final months of the 2025-26 campaign, and although he featured as a substitute in the final-day victory over Athletic Club, that has turned out to be his final appearance in the famous white jersey. As per Diario AS , Real Madrid and Ceballos have mutually agreed to terminate the 29-year-old’s contract, which wad due to expire next summer. Jose Mourinho made it clear that he has no plans for the midfielder, and after discussions between player and club, it’s been decided that he can depart as a free agent.
