Harry Kane joins England legend with historic World Cup strike 👑
Harry Kane joins England legend with historic World Cup strike 👑 Harry Kane is a force to be reckoned with at recent World Cups, and he is back on target in England's tournament opener this evening in Dallas. The Bayern striker dispatched the Three Lions' opener from the penalty spot to take an early lead over Group L rivals Croatia this evening, despite missing his initial attempt. Kane was let off the hook when a Croatian player was judged to have entered the 18-yard box early, allowing the veteran goalscorer to get a second bite at the apple. Which, of course, he dispatched with aplomb. With that strike, Kane added a 12th goal to his World Cup record, amassing that tally in just 12 games. What's more, he joined an England legend in the record books. The former Spurs man became just the second player to score for England at three different World Cups (2018, 2022, 2026) after David Beckham did so in 1998, 2002, and 2006. He just continues to age like a fine wine and does not look like slowing down any time soon. Could he and Erling Haaland be the favourites to win the tournament's golden boot?
