Manchester United keen to sign £39m-rated Serie A midfielder Manchester United are keen to sign Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram this summer, per Corriere dello Sport .   The Old Lady missed out on Champions League qualification after finishing sixth in the Serie A last season, putting them under pressure to generate capital to balance the books.  Juventus are open to offers for key midfielder Thuram, as they require a capital gain of £10-11 million by the end of June.  The Italian giants want a fee around £35m and £39m for their prized asset.  Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli are willing to meet their valuation, but Thuram is not yet ready to leave Europe.  The France international prefers a move to the Premier League, with United among his admirers.  The Red Devils focused on bolstering their attack last summer, adding Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to the squad.  The midfield is the area now in need of a major revamp.  Casemiro will leave at the end of this month as a free agent, while Manuel Ugarte could be sold following his underwhelming spell in Manchester. United have already agreed a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta.  Their interest in Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson is well documented, but the financial costs for a deal are too prohibitive.  United reportedly have interest in Thuram, but their current focus appears on signing West Ham United’s Mateus Fernandes .  The Hammers are holding out for a fee around £85m but Michael Carrick’s side hope to negotiate a lower amount.
