Milan will play in the Europa League, although United have returned to Europe’s elite competition for the first time since 2023 under Amorim’s predecessor Erik ten Hag. United are expected to be active in the market as they continue to strengthen Carrick’s squad. The Red Devils have already agreed a £38 million deal to sign Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta, but are also working on a deal to sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United.
