Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso wants to raid former club Real Madrid for five players It has been a very busy start to the summer for Real Madrid, who have already wrapped up four new signings. More are on the cards, which is why there will must also be exits considered by the club’s sporting department. Dani Ceballos is ready to be released from his contract with a year remaining, but other first team players must also be considered for departure. It will be Jose Mourinho’s job to decide who stays and goes, and former Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso will have a keen interest in the decision-making process of the Portuguese. According to Simon Phillips (via CaughtOffside ), Alonso has drawn up a five-man shortlist of players that he wants to sign for new club Chelsea. The list is headed up by Aurelien Tchouameni and Arda Guler, while it also features Dean Huijsen, Alvaro Carreras and La Fabrica starlet Victor Valdepenas. It was reported earlier in the week that Alonso wants to sign Carreras to replace Marc Cucurella, who joined Real Madrid on Monday. He’s since added another four names into the mix, and aside from Tchouameni, the others have potential to be made available for transfer at some stage during the summer. Chelsea could seek player(s)-plus-cash deal with Real Madrid Image via AFA In the last 48 hours, it has been reported that Mourinho has identified Enzo Fernandez as his leading midfield target. Chelsea want to keep the Argentina international, but if he pushes to leave, they may be forced to cash in, rather than keep an unhappy player. Chelsea are said to be asking for well in excess of €100m to sell Fernandez, which would be steep for Real Madrid. Alternatively, Alonso could intervene to players being included in a possible deal, and depending on how Mourinho views the situation, it could benefit all parties.
