There are other names the club are interested in, like Matheus Fernandes of West Ham and Ayyoub Bouaddi of Lille , and it looks like they are still identifying the profile of the midfielder they want. He has also mentioned that the situation could change if significant departures happen. Enzo remains a difficult operation The Argentine is an obvious name to discuss because Real Madrid are studying the midfield market. He has openly admitted his admiration for Los Blancos in the past. Enzo may fit the football idea, but fitting the idea is not the same as being a realistic transfer. Chelsea paid heavily to sign him from Benfica, and any serious negotiation would likely demand a huge investment. Madrid have to be careful here. The squad need balance, legs and control in midfield, but spending elite money only makes sense if the player is clearly the right one and the financial space exists.
