Harrison Jones joined the Sunderland academy age six and made seven appearances for the club [Getty Images] Peterborough United have made their second summer signing with Sunderland midfielder Harrison Jones arriving for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal. Jones, 21, joined the Black Cats academy age six and made seven appearances for the club in all competitions but did not feature in their 2025-2026 Premier League campaign. "It has all happened quite quickly but when I heard of the interest it was definitely something that excited me," he told the club website . "There are a lot of big clubs in League One but we are a big club too and I can't wait to get started." Peterborough boss Luke Williams said: "Harrison is an ambitious and talented young player who has had a great start to his career at Sunderland, with first team experience and being in and around the first team for a couple of years. "He had a lot of different options for the next stage of his career so we are delighted that he has chosen us and we are looking forward to working with him." Jones' arrival follows the signing of defender Evan Weir after his release by Walsall. All done deals in June 2026
