Romano reports that Manchester City are now confident of finally signing the midfield workhorse. After talks between the two clubs continued since City’s massive bid was rejected, a deal between the two clubs is now in the final stages. Furthermore, Fabrizio Romano reports that Elliot Anderson is expected to undergo his Manchester City medical in the United States once the deal is finalised. Anderson is currently on international duty with England at the World Cup. The Nottingham Forest midfielder put in a strong performance in England’s 4-2 win over Croatia in their opening Group L fixture, further emphasising his obvious qualities and what he could add to the Manchester City midfield. That is great news and after that deal is complete, City can move on to other transfer business in what looms as a busy and pivotal summer for the FA Cup and Carabao Cup holders.
