The 24-year-old made his debut for the Robins in December 2020 and has gone on to make 99 appearances in the Championship. After spending the first half of last season on loan at League One outfit Wycombe Wanderers, Bell returned to Ashton Gate on New Year's Day and was a success under interim head coach Roy Hodgson, scoring four goals in City's final four games of the campaign. "I'm very happy to have got the deal done. I spoke to James [Ellis - Bristol City's new sporting director] first and he explained to me the desire to keep me at the club," Bell told the club website. "I also had a good talk with the new manager [Michael Skubala] and he is a big part of the reason I wanted to stay here so much." Skubala added: "We're delighted to secure Sam's talents until 2029. We are excited to continue working with him and seeing him continue to grow in a City shirt." Latest Bristol City news, analysis and fan views
