'Hard-working' Rose thinks values align with United and Dundee

The 27-year-old Australian forward arrives after just missing out on the A-League title with Newcastle United Jets. "I'm super stoked to be here at this wonderful club," Rose told the United YouTube channel. "It's a beautiful city so it was a no-brainer to join this club when the opportunity arose. "I am a hard working player, so it sort of resembles the way this city is and the people that are here." Rose had agreed a two-year contract with United at a time when Jets were leading the A-League, but despite ending top of the table, five points ahead of Adelaide United, they lost out in the play-off semi-finals to Sydney after a penalty shoot-out. "I had to finish off my time in Australia and try to finish on a high there and to come over and get ready for the season," he said. Rose scored eight goals and provided one assist in his 26 appearances - his best season yet - and said Jets had benefitted from a "family" atmosphere in the dressing-room. "They are like brothers to me, so for us as a group we did well purely because of that and moving on they were so supportive as a club and all the players were super excited for me to get overseas and join a club like this," he added.
