Lyon close to signing Altach’s Mohamed Ouédraogo

Lyon close to signing Altach’s Mohamed Ouédraogo Olympique Lyonnais are reportedly on the verge of signing SCR Altach’s Mohamed Ouédraogo (23), according to Foot Mercato . Under contract with the Austrian club until June 2027, the Burkinabe left-back is expected to sign for the Rhône-based side in the coming hours. A key player for the Black and Whites under manager Ognjen Zaric, Ouédraogo started 33 of his 35 appearances across all competitions during the 2025–26 season. The Stallions international (nine caps) rounded off a strong season with four goals and three assists. Having come through the ranks at Majestic FC, the 23-year-old moved to Europe in 2023 and continued his development with Altach’s reserve team, before going on to represent their first team. Should Ouédraogo’s move to Lyon go ahead, it would almost certainly mean the departure of Nicolás Tagliafico (33) or Abner Vinícius (26), who has been rumoured to be on the verge of leaving Les Gones for several weeks now.
