Chesterfield sign Sutton defender Eccleston
Chesterfield have reached the League Two play-offs in each of the past two seasons [Shutterstock] Chesterfield have signed Sutton United defender Junior Eccleston for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal. The 19-year-old played 35 National League games last season, scoring once. Eccleston is the Spireites' first summer signing after they finished sixth in League Two in 2025-26. "He is a young defender who offers real hunger and physical presence to the squad," first-team coach Danny Webb told the club website.
