Real Madrid prioritise French star as their ‘Galactico’ signing, but are not limited to him

Real Madrid prioritise French star as their ‘Galactico’ signing, but are not limited to him Real Madrid’s moves this summer have been precise, targeted and swift. Their approach to the transfer window has seen them secure targets with minimal news or rumours, almost as if they have been working behind the scenes. One publicly known objective of theirs, however, is securing the transfer of a ‘ Galactico ‘ this summer – something Florentino Perez promised during the presidential election. The president gave a deadline of two days after the election at the time, and sent a bid of €150 million for Julian Alvarez which was rejected. Yet, the bid counted as the president living up to his word. Working for the real deal As confirmed by  Ramon Alvarez de Mon  in a recent report, Real Madrid are indeed still looking out for a new  Galactico  signing. The chosen one is still Michael Olise, the same target  Los Blancos  had before the election polling. Olise has a great chemistry with Mbappe. (Photo by Angel Martinez/Getty Images) The French winger shares a natural chemistry with Kylian Mbappe and would become a lethal attacking weapon on the right wing – a position where  Los Blancos  have struggled for years. Real Madrid, however, are not throwing all their apples in one basket. If a move for Olise does not work out, they will pursue a different  Galactico  signing. Olise or not, Real Madrid will make a big-name signing this summer. How practical is Olise’s arrival? Recently, Real Madrid issued a public statement to clarify that no contacts had been made with Olise’s entourage, denying all the rumours going around. The club are, however, planning to initiate them soon. They are, concurrently, aware that signing him will require a gargantuan financial effort – one close to  the lines of €222 million . Perez has a point to prove. (Photo by Denis Doyle/Getty Images) While there is no report confirming that the club are open to it, the circumstances don’t make it completely impossible. Florentino Perez is desperate to get Real Madrid back to the elite level, and a world-class left-winger is a must to improve the team’s attacking dynamic. The recent election, further, swung a surprise with Enrique Riquelme winning a significant vote share. Perez, thus, has a lot of work to improve his image and win the trust of members once again. No agreement or understanding exists between Olise and Real Madrid at the moment, but the club may well be open to shelling out that massive fee. Everything will boil down to the player’s decision and what he sees as his best step forward.
