Inter keen on signing Real Madrid midfielder without clear role under Jose Mourinho
Inter keen on signing Real Madrid midfielder without clear role under Jose Mourinho Real Madrid have made headlines so far this summer with their activity in the transfer market, with the arrivals of Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate and Marc Cucurella set to breathe fresh life into the squad. However there has been relatively litte movement going the other way. The only confirmed departures thus far have been the exits on free transfers of Dani Carvajal, David Alaba and Dani Ceballos, none of who played much of a role last season. There are a number of players who have been linked with a departure, but it appears there have been no firm offers for them. One of the names who many feel could be about to exit is French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who is coming off the back of two difficult seasons that have cost him his spot in the World Cup with les Bleus. Inter keen on signing Eduardo Camavinga One of the destinations that could be open to Camavinga is Italian champions Inter. MD quote Italian sources, noting that Camavinga is not part of Mourinho’s plans, and Inter have taken an interest in him. Following a fundraiser match between Inter legends and Real Madrid legends, Inter President Giuseppe Marotta reportedly spoke with Real Madrid counterpart Florentino Perez about the possibility of signing Camavinga. The Athletic add that Real Madrid are listening to offers for Camavinga. That said, the player himself is determined to stay at the club, and his camp have described an exit as ‘impossible’. It is believed that he has not spoken with Mourinho yet. Where did it go wrong for Camavinga? Still young, Camavinga has plenty of time to turn his career around, but it looks tricky for him to do so at the Santiago Bernabéu. Camavinga has not enjoyed regular football for several seasons, and the feeling that he is yet to settle into a defined role has been exacerbated by injuries over the past two years. It seems that he is unlikely to excel as a sitting midfielder, but with Fede Valverde , Jude Bellingham and now Bernardo Silva for competition , and another expected to arrive, a consistent run seems difficult to come by.
