King outlines work for Coventry's return
Coventry City owner Doug King says work is underway to improve the club's stadium and squad but wouldn't be drawn on an update on Frank Lampard's contract situation. Speaking after an event where the Sky Blues were awarded Freedom of the City by Coventry Council, King said: "Look, there's a lot going on our way. It feels, you know, it's getting close isn't it? "We had the fixture release obviously last Friday. Everybody took a bit of an intake in breath there on our first two away games that brought the task home to us of what's ahead but we're excited. Why wouldn't we be? We haven't been there for a long time. "We're just working through getting things done. The stadium, there's huge activity there with what we have to do to be compliant with the Premier League and obviously our own strategy on business of working with the squad, strengthening the squad into the season is well under way."
