Real Madrid outcast edges closer to return to former club
Real Madrid outcast edges closer to return to former club Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos appears to be taking concrete steps toward a long-awaited return to Real Betis . According to Mundo Deportivo , the Spaniard has begun moving out of his home in Madrid and into a newly built property in his hometown of Utrera, further fueling speculation that his time at Real Madrid is coming to an end. While negotiations with Real Betis over a new contract are still pending, signs off the pitch suggest the move is edging closer. Departure from Madrid underway Ceballos is currently working on terminating the final year of his contract with Real Madrid . The 29-year-old hopes to leave as a free agent, which would then allow him to finalise a multi-year agreement with Betis, the club where he developed before joining Los Blancos nine years ago after his release clause was activated. A worker from the transport company handling Ceballos’ move shared images on social media showing household appliances and furniture being loaded, accompanied by the message: “Moving for @danifuli10. Thank you for trusting @elverdaderoraul.” Another photo showed the truck leaving the Community of Madrid with the song Volveré by Galván Real playing in the background, an apparent nod to Ceballos’ imminent return to Andalusia. Social media hints continue Ceballos himself has done little to quiet the rumours. Spending part of his summer in Marbella, he recently posted photos from the gym accompanied by music from El Barrio and the caption: “One day less.” Photo Courtesy: Mundo Deportivo The midfielder also shared several pictures with his partner, Luna Serrat, who is expecting twin daughters. The couple plan to raise their family in the new house in Utrera, close to relatives and friends. In one post, Ceballos wrote that he would choose her “46 times more.” The number was far from random. The number 46 holds special significance for the midfielder. It was the shirt number he wore when he made his senior debut for Real Betis during the 2013/14 season. He kept the same number throughout the 2014/15 campaign in Segunda Division , helping the club earn promotion back to La Liga. Now, more than a decade after those early days, all signs point toward a reunion between Ceballos and the club where his professional journey began. The official announcement has yet to arrive, but the move from Madrid to Seville suggests that Ceballos’ return to Real Betis is becoming increasingly inevitable.
