Liverpool Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Ligue 1 Midfielder: Good Choice For Iraola?
Liverpool Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Ligue 1 Midfielder: Good Choice For Iraola? In a recent episode of the Born ‘n Red podcast, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Liverpool are keeping a keen eye on Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi this summer. Romano said, “Keep a close eye to the situation of Bouaddi for Liverpool and other clubs. Liverpool had two meetings and there are more clubs involved in that [PSG and Arsenal], so it could be an opportunity to go for him. “It depends on price, it depends on what Lille want to do, but Liverpool have been scouting the player for a long time. It has been almost one year of monitoring the player closely. Let’s see if they enter this one. I think it could be interesting, not just for Liverpool but for other clubs.” Bouaddi’s Impressive Rise In French Football The 18-year-old managed to shine at times with his performances at the heart of Lille’s midfield in the previous campaign. Bouaddi picked up one assist in 42 matches for the French club last season in all competitions. The Moroccan talent is currently one of the most gifted central midfielders in Ligue 1. Thus, it is no wonder that the Reds are eyeing a move to bring him to Anfield in this transfer period. Hence, the Reds would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Bouaddi this off-season. Will Bouaddi Be A Good Choice For Liverpool Boss Andoni Iraola? Bouaddi loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well. The Morocco international can even engineer the odd chance for his teammates in the final third. Bouaddi mainly operates as a box-to-box midfielder but can also feature as a holding midfielder if told to do so. However, there are some question marks over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to get him on board this summer. Bouaddi would add more bite and steel to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola’s midfield. He is good enough to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years. At 18, Bouaddi has got the potential to be a future star in English football. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the long run and would be a great choice for the Merseyside club to pursue in this transfer period.
