Leicester respond to Arsenal’s £5m bid for Jeremy Monga Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit of Leicester City star Jeremy Monga.  According to The Times , the Gunners have lodged an opening £5 million transfer bid for the promising teenager.  However, Leicester have turned down their offer, with the Midlands outfit holding out for £10m plus a 15 per cent sell-on fee.  Monga is the latest gem to come out of Leicester’s academy, whose impressive development has caught the attention of several top Premier League clubs.  Monga enjoyed a breakout 2025-26 campaign, featuring 27 times in the Championship and making three goal contributions.  The 16-year-old’s performances have put him on the radar of Manchester City and Chelsea, but he only wants to join Arsenal.  Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to reinforce their attacking options this summer and prioritised the left flank.  They have identified Morgan Rogers as their primary target , but Aston Villa have no intention to part with their prized asset.  Villa are also in a strong negotiating position, with the forward’s contract not expiring until 2031.  However, Arsenal are hopeful of landing Rogers’ services, as the England international is reportedly keen to join the North London giants.  The Gunners can sign Monga for a small fee, but he is one for the future.  With both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard facing uncertain futures at the Emirates Stadium, the Premier League champions need an experienced forward who can play regularly.  Stats from Transfermarkt
