Real Madrid communicate plans to re-sign €9m talent as €60m resale offer revealed
Real Madrid communicate plans to re-sign €9m talent as €60m resale offer revealed Real Madrid are on the verge of completing their fifth signing of the 2026 summer transfer window before it has even opened, with Nico Paz set to be brought back after two successful seasons at Serie A side Como. Paz was sold to Como in 2024 in a deal worth €6m, and as part of this, Real Madrid retained three separate buy-back clauses. The first, valued at €8m, expired last summer, with the other two, set at €9m and €10m, could be activated in 2026 and 2027 respectively. There’s been much talk of Real Madrid’s plans to re-sign Paz this summer by activating the €9m clause, and while it had looked unlikely for a while , the decision has now officially been made for him to return to the Bernabeu, as reported by Fabrizio Romano . Como have option to re-sign Paz immediately for €60m Real Madrid communicated their desire to Como during talks between the two clubs on Thursday, but these discussions also led to a new agreement being reached. As per Romano, the Serie A side have been the chance to immediate re-sign Paz for a price of €60m – they have until Monday to make that decision, otherwise the Argentina international will return to the Bernabeu later in the summer. But even if Paz does not return to Como, there is no guarantee that he stays at Real Madrid. Club bosses are reportedly keen to sell the attacking midfielder upon re-signing him in order to make a huge profit, with the idea being that a deal in excess of €60m will be accepted if the likes of Inter or a Premier League club come calling. In truth, it was a no-brainer for Real Madrid to re-sign Paz this summer. His value far exceeds €9m, and that will certainly be the case if Como, Inter or anyone else adhere to their demands in the coming weeks.
