🚨 BREAKING: Manchester City 'strike agreement' to sign Elliot Anderson Manchester City appear to have secured their man in midfield. The Premier League giants have been in negotiations with Nottingham Forest over Englishman Elliot Anderson, but according to David Ornstein, the two clubs have reached an agreement. Earlier this month, it was revealed that City had made a verbal offer for the midfielder worth £106m up-front with potential add-ons, taking it in excess of £120m, yet Forest were keen on securing a fixed fee of more than £125m. According to a report from The Telegrapg, Manchester City lodged a fresh bid of £130m in an effort to 'close the gap' between the two clubs' evaluations. Anderson joined Nottingham Forest in 2023 in a £35m deal that saw Odysseas Vlachodimos go the other way to Newcastle United. Currently at the World Cup in North America, Anderson could return home to England to find himself on his way north to Manchester. Notably, City still are without a manager after the departure of legendary coach Pep Guardiola, though there are strong suggestions that former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca will be revealed as the new City manager in the coming days or weeks.
