The 25-year-old made 21 appearances in League Two last season for the Fishermen, who finished 15th, before playing nine games on loan at eventual champions Bromley in the second half of the campaign. Medley's career started in the Chelsea academy before he made the switch to Arsenal, where he made his senior debut in a Europa League game against Vorskla Poltava in 2018. He made three first-team appearances for the Gunners and then had loan spells with Gillingham and Kilmarnock before signing for Belgian side KV Oostende in 2021. After three years, Medley returned to England with Fleetwood but they confirmed he would be one of seven players leaving upon expiration of their contracts this summer. Medley becomes the fourth signing York have made since winning promotion to the EFL for the first time in 10 years. Listen to York City content on BBC Sounds
