There had been suggestions that the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona were interested in picking him up on a free transfer, but La Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that neither have made any serious, formal approaches. Reports from the same outlet earlier this week claimed that the Turkish giants are willing to hand over a €10m-per-season contract , and a signing bonus of around €5m. Besiktas are now under the leadership of Italian head coach Vincenzo Italiano, under whom Vlahovic had his most productive season ever in front of goal while playing for Fiorentina. Saturday’s report from La Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that Besiktas is Vlahovic’s only real alternative option to Juventus at this stage.
