Rennes face Premier League competition to sign Charlie Cresswell Charlie Cresswell (23) is the subject of interest from Stade Rennais, who next season will return to the UEFA Europa League. However, the Breton club will face significant competition,  Ouest-France  understands.  Since making the move from formative club Leeds United to Toulouse FC for just €5m back in 2024, Cresswell has excelled. The Englishman has been a regular under Carles Martinez Novell, who has left to join Bayer Leverkusen, and the defender could be on the move, too.  Rennes hold a long-standing interest in the England youth international. He was observed throughout the season. However,  Ouest-France  notes that there is notably interest from Crystal Palace, who look set to lose France international Maxence Lacroix to London rivals Chelsea.  Cresswell wouldn’t come cheap either.  Ouest-France  understands that he is valued at at least €25m by  Le TéFéCé,  who, as usual, are obliged to sell in order to balance the books this summer.  GFFN | Luke Entwistle
