Yan Diomande is Liverpool’s priority Liverpool have already completed a deal for Spanish forward Victor Munoz. They have now turned their attention towards RB Leipzig teenage sensation Yan Diomande. The Reds’ initial €100 million offer for the Ivorian has been rejected , but they are expected to submit an improved bid. There is growing optimism that an agreement can be reached. Diomande was named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season last term and has carried his club form onto the international stage, starring for Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup. The 19-year-old is the only player this century to complete at least 10 dribbles and create at least 10 chances across his first three FIFA World Cup games. Pundit Jamie Carragher has backed Liverpool’s pursuit of Diomande, saying the youngster has traits similar to those of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. He told Sky Sports : “You think of the success Liverpool have had in the past with powerful, quick, wide men. You think of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, especially those two. “He certainly looks like he’s got those type of traits. That’s a big thing that Liverpool lacked last season – pace in those wide areas.” If Liverpool miss out on the Ivory Coast international, they are considering a move for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh . PSG’s Bradley Barcola, Lille’s Mathias Fernandez-Pardo and Koln’s Said El Mala are also on their radar.
