In a recent segment on Youtube , respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Manchester City are eyeing a move for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi next summer. Romano said, “Manchester City have genuine interest in Bouaddi. He’s one of the players being considered by Manchester City, eventually for summer 2027. “So the idea of Manchester City, the starting idea – then lets see how conversations develop – could be to try go for the player in summer 2027. So Manchester City have an interest in Bouaddi.” Bouaddi’s Impressive Rise In French Football Bouaddi enjoyed a decent run of form at the French club in the previous campaign when he put in a run of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The 18-year-old made 42 appearances for Lille last season, picking up one assist in the process across multiple competitions. The talented teenager is currently one of the most gifted midfielders in Ligue 1. Therefore, Man City would do well to get a deal done for him next summer. Will Bouaddi Be A Good Fit For Manchester City? Bouaddi is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to make some interceptions for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and excels at playing his way out from midfield. The Moroccan talent is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder if told to do so.
