After a slow start to the summer, PSG are finally getting into gear in terms of transfers. We’re now getting almost daily updates from top man Fabrizio Romano on a number of deals. That includes potentially the biggest purchase of the summer. Yan Diomande looked close to Liverpool, but according to Romano today PSG are “in talks” with Leipzig to make a transfer happen, having already agreed personal terms with the winger. Leipzig confident in getting monster fee for winger The German side are asking for a fee more than €100m, and given Liverpool were offering close to that already, it feels like they will get it. There is another way to get the deal done – offer a lower see but leave Diomande on loan at Leipzig for a year. PSG, for their part “want Diomande ASAP,” so that’s not an option for them. It is now going to come down to a straight bidding war, and of course PSG have the resources to blow anyone away if they really want to. They won’t overpay, however. In other news… The Diomande deal took a major step forward yesterday when Romano reported that the Parisians had “verbally agreed” contract terms with the winger. Another top PSG target has Premier League eyes on him, although Luis Enrique’s team should have an edge over anyone if they really want him.
