Done Deal: Genoa beat Galatasaray to Swiss talent Meichtry Genoa have won a bidding war to secure Swiss talent Franz-Ethan Meichtry from FC Thun, claim multiple sources, at a reported cost of €4m. The midfielder will celebrate his 21 st birthday next week and had been linked with the likes of Galatasaray, TSG Hoffenheim, and Parma. A product of the Thun youth academy, he scored eight goals with three assists in 35 Swiss Super League appearances this season. According to Primo Canale, the total cost of the transfer including add-ons will be around €4m.
