Union St Gilloise looking to sign South Africa’s promising forward following the World Cup According to Het Nieuwsblad , Union St Gilloise are showing interest in South African international Relebohile Mofokeng. The 21-year-old has been at the 2026 World Cup with South Africa, with the side making the knock out rounds but losing to Canada. However, Union St Gilloise have been reportedly interested in Mofokeng prior to his appearances for South Africa at the World Cup. Union saw Mofekeng play a key role in helping Orlando Pirates win the South African PSL during the most recent season. During this past season Mofokeng, who can play out wide or just behind the striker, scored 10 goals for Pirates and contributed eight assists in 27 league games. It marks the third season in a row in which Mofekeng has been a star player for the side. His breakout season came during the 2023/2024 campaign where he scored five goals and provided six assists in 38 games. He followed that up with an even better campaign in 2024/2025, playing 50 games for Pirates, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists. Five of these goals came during the sides CAF Champions League campaign. GBeNeFN  |  Ben Jackson
