Hornchurch sign defender Baldwin
Jack Baldwin spent a short spell on loan on loan at Eastleigh last season [Shutterstock] Hornchurch have signed former Colchester United defender Jack Baldwin. The 32-year-old joins as a free agent after being released by the U's last month. The National League newcomers have not disclosed the length of Baldwin's contract. He has played more than 280 times in the English Football League for sides including Hartlepool United, Peterborough United, Sunderland, Bristol Rovers and Northampton Town. "He's had a fantastic career, and he's hungry to get back to from where he's from with us and play some football and help us improve us as a team," manager Daryl McMahon told the club website. "He's a leader; he's a good talker and a good organiser as well as being a good footballer and a competitive person." National League
