Official | Malang Sarr leaves RC Lens The exodus from RC Lens continues. Captain Adrien Thomasson left on a free transfer to join Stade Rennais, Allan Saint-Maximin has left, too, following the expiry of his short-term contract, whilst Pierre Sage, the manager who led them to Coupe de France glory and a second-place finish in Ligue 1, has departed after one season to become the manager of Crystal Palace. Malang Sarr (27) is the latest to depart, as Lens confirmed on Tuesday. The 30th June is synonymous with the final day of Sarr’s contract at the club. He joined  Les Sang et Or  back in the 2024/25 season, following the mutual termination of his contract at Chelsea.  At the Stade Bollaert, the former OGC Nice defender and France youth international got his career back on track. Last season, he made 39 appearances in all competitions and was a key part of the club’s success. Overall, Sarr made 62 appearances for Lens. He is now on the search for a new club.
