The 26-year-old joined the Brewers in 2024, where he went on to make 88 appearances, scoring three goals. Godwin-Malife previously played for Forest Green Rovers 128 times and had spells at Swindon Town and Oxford City, where he first came through. In the 2021/22 campaign, he was part of Forest Green's League Two title-winning side, making 30 appearances across the season. "We are very pleased to get the move for Udoka over the line," Royals boss Leam Richardson told the club website . "He is someone we have tracked for a number of months now, and it has taken a lot of work to make it happen, but we could not be happier. "A versatile defender with the leadership qualities we have been looking for, Udoka is a character and player we are delighted to have in the camp, and we cannot wait to get started."
