Romano: PSG could miss out on key summer target because of “different priorities” PSG looked a shoo-in to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille this summer, but now there is serious competition from the Premier League. Rumours last week claimed that PSG were interested in Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille as their big midfield signing of the summer, and at that point it looked very likely to get done. The Parisians don’t let many young French developed talents escape Ligue 1 once they’ve taken a liking to them. But today’s update from top transfer insider Fabrizio Romano makes things far less certain. Lille youngster in demand from four clubs Romano reports that Manchester City have joined the race, and have even held initial talks with Bouaddi over a potential move. The Italian insider says that there are actually FOUR clubs in the chase, with PSG currently not advancing because they have “different top priorities” – presumably landing Yan Diomande, for one. City’s plan would be to buy Bouaddi then leave him on loan at current team Lille until the start of next season. That may prove too tempting a setup to turn down for the club – and a lot will depend on what the teenager himself wants. We expect things to develop quickly after the World Cup is over. In other news… Randal Kolo Muani is one player PSG are open to selling, and by all accounts they’re close to a loan deal with an option to buy. BBC Sport are reporting that Bradley Barcola could yet stay at PSG and sign a new contract, despite interest in bringing in other attackers.
