The Spanish giants will launch their domestic campaign at home against Real Sociedad during the weekend of August 14, marking Mourinho’s first competitive match since returning to the club. Real Madrid’s final match of the 2026/27 La Liga season will also take place at the Santiago Bernabeu, where Deportivo will visit the Spanish capital on the weekend of May 30, 2027. Attention, however, will turn towards the biggest fixtures on the schedule. The first Madrid derby 2026/27 will take place on September 20 at the Metropolitano Stadium, with Atletico Madrid hosting Mourinho’s side on matchday seven. The return meeting between the city rivals is scheduled for April 4 on matchday 30, when Atlético will travel to the Bernabéu in what could prove to be a decisive stage of the campaign.
