Villa sign Denmark striker Vangsgaard

Vangsgaard arrives from Juventus for an undisclosed fee. The 29-year-old scored 11 goals in 62 appearances for the Serie A side. She made her Denmark debut in 2022 and has 46 caps, scoring 14 goals. "I'm really excited and I think it's a very strong league. I'm very excited to get into the football world of England," she said. After visiting Villa's training ground, she said: "I have a really good impression. "I see that the club is really valuing the women's team and the facilities are really good and I can't wait to work here in pre-season and get started." Describing her style of play, Vangsgaard said she enjoys leading the attack and contributing goals for her team. "I'm a very forward attacking player," she said.
