Union SG raise asking price for Inter and Napoli target Khalaili
Union SG raise asking price for Inter and Napoli target Khalaili Reports in Italy claim that Union Saint-Gilloise have raised their asking price for right-winger Anan Khalaili, who is of interest to both Napoli and Inter, who are on the look out for an alternative to the Chelsea-bound Marco Palestra. Inter rival Napoli for Khalaili, but Union SG want €30m Inter had been targeting a move for Atalanta’s Palestra, who impressed during his breakout season on loan with Cagliari in 2025-26. Reports claimed that the Nerazzurri had set aside €50m for the signing of the young Italy international, but they were ultimately pipped to the post by Chelsea , who were able to cough up an offer worth €60m including add-ons. Instead, the Nerazzurri have turned their focus to Khalaili, who is also of interest to Napoli. The Israeli’s current club Union SG had reportedly been seeking a fee in the region of €25m for their right-sided midfielder, but have since upped that asking price to €30m according to the latest reports from the Corriere dello Sport. Wednesday’s report claims that this decision ‘was not welcomed’ by Inter, who are in desperate need of a new right-wing back with Denzel Dumfries set to join Real Madrid and Palestra set to move to Stamford Bridge instead of San Siro. Neither the Nerazzurri nor the Partenopei have tabled a formal offer to Union SG as things stand, but the Corriere dello Sport suggests that the player himself will have to ‘contribute’ in negotiations by making his desire to move to Italy clear to his current employers. Brooke Norton-Cuffy has previously been linked to the Nerazzurri but is not a particularly concrete target at this time. Another option could be Hellas Verona’s Rafik Belghali, currently away with the Algeria national team at the 2026 World Cup.
