The deal taking Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan has been confirmed, with the Portuguese striker leaving PSG to link up with his countryman Ruben Amorim, who has just been named the Rossoneri’s new manager. The BBC are reporting it’s a record fee of €70m for AC Milan, meaning that the Parisians actually made a small profit on the man they bought from Benfica for €65m three years ago. Ramos moves on after doing his duty in Paris Ramos was brought in as a backup striker who could bring some firepower off the bench and wouldn’t mind spending much of the season as a substitute. That’s exactly what he did. He scored 45 goals in 135 appearances, many of them off the bench. He came up big when it mattered, including in some notable penalty shootouts, won a hatful of trophies, and has more than earned his chance to move to a club where he will be the main man. We expect him to rack up some serious numbers in Serie A if he’s given good service. Good luck Goncalo! In other news… Gabriel Moscardo’s future was a big question for this summer at PSG – but it looks like a solution has now been found which will allow him to continue his development. Different priorities could mean one of PSG’s top targets ends up moving elsewhere this summer – although there’s a long way to go in this chase.
