Monaco set to sign PSG prospect Aymen Assab
Monaco set to sign PSG prospect Aymen Assab AS Monaco are set to sign Paris Saint-Germain U18 captain Emmanuel Mbemba and they are now also set to snap up another of the European champions’ biggest prospects in the form of Aymen Assab (17), according to a report from L’Équipe . Assab has yet to make a first-team appearance for Les Parisiens, but he is very highly rated thanks to his performances at youth level. He notably impressed in the UEFA Youth League last season. PSG did all that they could to retain Assab, L’Équipe understands, even attempting to sign him to a first professional deal, however, the midfielder has made the decision to leave the club. The publication adds that the France U19 international has already signed his contract with the Principality club. Rather than join up with the Groupe Élite, the youth side, he is expected to be thrust straight into the professional set-up, which is expected to be managed by Filipe Luis, whose arrival, however, has yet to be officialised by Monaco.
