Newport County re-sign midfielder Evans

Kieron Evans joined Newport County on loan from Cardiff City in 2024 [Huw Evans Picture Agency] Newport County have re-signed midfielder Kieron Evans from National League side Eastleigh. The 24-year-old returns to Rodney Parade after a previous loan spell from Cardiff City during the 2024-25 season. The ex-Wales under-20 international made 38 apperances for County and scored three goals before joining Eastleigh in June 2025. In addition to coming through the youth ranks at Cardiff, Evans has also enjoyed loan spells with Linfield, Gateshead and Torquay United. He becomes Newport's eighth signing of the summer along with fellow returnees Kyle Cameron, Harrison Biggins and Cameron Norman as well as Christian Doidge, Dan Sassi, Shaquille Gwengwe and Yahya Bamba.
