United sign 'calm and composed' goalkeeper Amissah
[SNS] Former Ross County goalkeeper Jordan Amissah has returned to Scotland to provide a "calm and composed" presence at Dundee United, says manager Jim Goodwin. The 24-year-old has agreed a two-year deal at Tannadice following his exit from Burton Albion. Amissah impressed during a six-month spell at County before heading back south of the border. He feels he played his best football in Scotland. "The conversations I've had with the gaffer and the coaching staff have been really exciting, and I wanted to get started as soon as I could," he said. "My time at Ross County was probably where I played my best football to date, so a move back north appealed to me, especially with United being such a big club. "I can't wait to get going in pre-season and see all the fans at Tannadice in a few weeks' time, and hopefully this season will be full of success." United boss Goodwin added: "He's still a young goalkeeper but has had experience in League One and, importantly, the Scottish Premiership with Ross County. "He's calm and composed, not only as a player but as a person, and that's important for me."
