Real Madrid offer 23-year-old midfielder to Manchester City
Real Madrid offer 23-year-old midfielder to Manchester City Real Madrid’s focus has shifted completely to the departure front in recent weeks and the club are working hard to secure some big departures before beginning the next surge for signings. Eduardo Camavinga, in that sense, has been the talk of the town as Los Blancos reportedly see him as a saleable asset who Jose Mourinho does not count on. His output in recent seasons, after all, has been anything but consistent. The operation, however, has been complicated given the player’s reluctance to leave, but matters appear set to take a drastic turn. Offered to Manchester As reported by MARCA now, Mourinho has officially given the board the green light to sell Camavinga this summer and has decided that the player is not part of his plans. Mourinho, thus, is pushing for his departure. In recent hours, there have been contacts between the Real Madrid and Manchester City administrations over the player’s situation, and his services have been offered to the Premier League giants. City, for their part, are evaluating the proposal and has yet to respond. Need for a decent fee While Real Madrid do indeed want Camavinga out of the squad, they are not prepared to go to the lengths they went to for Dani Ceballos’ departure. In this case, the finances are the priority. Real Madrid want to pocket a decent sum from the transfer. They hope to cash in and secure a sum of close to €60 million through the sale which they can reinvest in the squad. Once there is progress on the departure front, Real Madrid are looking to swiftly incorporate a new midfielder and centre-back, both of which are considered priorities. As matters stand, Enzo Fernandez is Real Madrid’s preferred target to replace Camavinga in midfield, although Chelsea will not make his departure easy in any capacity. World Cup breakout star Ayyoub Bouaddi also remains an option, although Manchester City themselves are in the race for the Moroccan star.
