Real Madrid open to selling star midfielder for €82 million amid Man United interest – report

Real Madrid open to selling star midfielder for €82 million amid Man United interest – report Eduardo Camavinga’s stock has fallen steeply over the past season, primarily owing to his fitness struggles and lack of minutes at Real Madrid. The Frenchman, thus, has been one of the top names linked with a departure from the club as Real Madrid look to generate funds from a big sale. His compatriot, Aurelien Tchouameni, enjoyed great prominence throughout the recently concluded campaign at Real Madrid and is even playing a pivotal role for France at the World Cup. Yet, he too is surprisingly being linked with a move away from the Spanish capital. Real Madrid set a price As reported by Ben Jacobs in a recent update, Real Madrid do indeed see Tchouameni’s sale as a realistic option to raise funds this summer, especially in light of the big-money move they are planning. The player, however, continues to remain firm on staying at the club. A figure of €82 million would likely be enough to convince Real Madrid to sell the player, and that sum is not exorbitant considering today’s market dynamics.  It will thus be interesting to see how the saga pans out in the coming weeks, especially given that there is significant interest in the player. Premier League-bound? Real Madrid’s French defensive midfielder has long been linked with Manchester United, who reportedly see him as  a ‘dream’ signing . Manchester United ‘love’ the player. (Photo by Fran Santiago/Getty Images) The Red Devils see the Real Madrid midfielder as the ideal fit to slot into their defensive midfield, filling the void left by Casemiro’s departure from the club. The hurdle they are struggling to get past, however, is the financial aspect, which they see as too difficult to match. Transfer fees aside, even the player’s salary is a premium amount. As matters stand, the Premier League appears to be the most likely destination should Tchouameni leave the club this summer. The negotiations, however, will not be simple given the player’s desire to stay. In the ongoing FIFA World Cup, the Frenchman has already made three appearances and has played all 270 minutes in them. During that time, he has provided one assist and helped the team maintain one clean sheet.
