Chelsea superstar’s agent makes massive statement on future: ‘Real Madrid like him and he likes them’ Enzo Fernandez has been one of Real Madrid’s top midfield targets all summer, but talks have not progressed as rapidly as the club would have hoped given the number of factors involved. For starters, the player’s price tag from Chelsea is exorbitant and Real Madrid need to ensure some sales before they go behind the player. Further, the new Chelsea manager, Xabi Alonso, is not making it simple either , as he plans on keeping the star in his dynamics. Added to that is the fact that Fernandez is currently on FIFA World Cup duty, and all signs point to his future being resolved only after the event. Fernandez’s agent speaks on Chelsea exit Speaking to  Diario AS  in a recent interview, Enzo Fernandez’s  agent Javier Pastore  was asked about a potential departure from London for his client, and admitted that Chelsea are a club that buy and sell relatively easily. “It is a club that usually buys a lot of young talent and makes them play in the Premier League, as has happened with Enzo. He has won titles in three and a half years. He is very happy, but there comes a time when you have to follow the player’s path and if he demands things that the club cannot get, you have to look for solutions,” he said. The agent then admitted that they were looking for the said ‘solutions’ on the player’s future. “Yes [we are looking for solutions], but I have also tried to stop everything right now because a lot is being played in the World Cup. “ Enzo must enjoy it, but the player has his head on all sides. “At this moment I prefer that he be focused on trying to win another World Cup. There will be time to talk,” he added. On Real Madrid and the transfer fee Pastore then opened up on Real Madrid’s interest in the player and made a massive statement on Fernandez’s potential move to Madrid. “Yes, Real Madrid has sounded out, Real Madrid likes the best players and Enzo has been one of the best of the year this year.” Signing Enzo will be financially demanding. Finally, he was asked about his client being an ‘expensive’ signing given Chelsea’s demands, to which he referred back to the overall inflation. “They all cost a lot. If you look at the transfers in the last few days, they are all for 90 or 100 million euros. “ The prices of the players are very high and his is surely very high too, but that’s why he has shown, grown and created in these years. “That’s why he has that value. There are clubs that will be able to afford him and there are others for whom it will be costly. There we will be available and working to try to reach an understanding,” he added.
