The 35-year-old made 100 appearances for QPR during a three-year stay with the Championship club but was not offered a new contract. Cook helped both Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest win promotion to the Premier League before moving to west London in 2023. "He's an experienced centre-back who has made the journey through the English leagues previously, and we hope he can pass on those experiences and help us on our journey," Wycombe's director of football strategy Tom Stockwell told the club website. "Steve has obviously enjoyed an outstanding career to date, playing in the Premier League with Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest, but when meeting with him it was clear he still has a hunger and drive to compete, win and achieve more in the game." Wycombe have not disclosed details of the length of contract Cook has signed.
