Linfield win to move top of Women's Premiership

A first-half hat-trick from Cora Chambers helped Linfield move top of the Women's Premiership with a 3-0 win over Lisburn Rangers on Friday night. That treble increased her personal tally for the season to 11 goals as the Blues maintained their impressive form. Elsewhere Lisburn Ladies collected three points by defeating Larne 2-1 away from home, while Derry City and Crusaders drew 3-3 at Mill Meadow. Caoirse Doherty, Leah Craig and Caitlin Doherty were on target for the Candystripes, but Crusaders responded through Michelle McDaid, Alison Nelson and a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser from Darcie McNeill. Claire Shaw's first-half opener for Lisburn Ladies was added to by a late Cerys Sharkey own goal before Hollie Johnston pulled one back deep into stoppage time, but the visitors held on to take victory. The focus now switches to the Women's League Cup final between Glentoran and Cliftonville, which will be played at Seaview at 15:00 BST on Sunday.
