He’s the best central defender, so things are the way they are today.” Saliba would be a dream signing for Real Madrid As far as centre-back signings go, Saliba would be the best one that Real Madrid could make, and while there is no doubt that the player would welcome a move to the Bernabeu, he’s currently very happy at Arsenal, and that’s unlikely to change soon. But when it does, Real Madrid should be there. Their defensive woes may not be fixed with the additions of Konate and one other centre-back, so there would be scope for a future move.
