West Ham appoint new director of player recruitment
[Getty Images] West Ham United have appointed Nils Koppen as their new director of player recruitment. Koppen will leave his role as technical director at FC Copenhagen to join the Championship club, subject to a work visa being acquired. The 41-year-old Belgian has previously worked for Rangers and PSV Eindhoven and will work alongside a new football leadership structure. "I am really pleased to have this fantastic opportunity and very much looking forward to joining such a big club and being a part of something new," he told the club's website. "I'm also looking forward to working with Nuno [Espirito Santo] - he is a very experienced and highly respected head coach."
