Robinson eyes 'two or three' signings to complete squad

Manager Stephen Robinson says he is "two or three" signings short of completing Aberdeen's summer squad building. The Northern Irishman was speaking after a 1-0 defeat by Twente during their pre-season training stint in the Netherlands on Saturday. "It was certainly a test against a top-level side and that's what we wanted," Robinson told Red TV. "We wanted to be tested and to find out what we need to fix and you want to see the fitness levels of the boys. "It was a good performance. Really solid, really organised, we pressed really well at times and we should have scored two or three goals, possibly a penalty as well." Aberdeen have made eight signings in Robinson's first summer transfer window in charge. "There's maybe two or three positions we need to really finish off the squad," he admitted. Ayoub Mouloua, the Moroccan forward signed after leaving Fath Union Sport in his country's top flight, did not feature against Twente but could play against Ross County on Tuesday or Linfield on Saturday as Aberdeen complete their pre-season. "His season's only finished three weeks ago, so he will still have relatively good fitness levels," Robinson said. "He's a goalscorer, he's what we need. Scottish football is frantic, it is different to any league in the world, some of it good, some of it bad, but it is a unique league and it'll take a bit of adjustment. "But, in terms of fitness levels, he should be ready to hit the ground running next week."
