Real Madrid to receive €15m as part of the defender’s AC Milan transfer

Real Madrid to receive €15m as part of the defender’s AC Milan transfer Real Madrid have made a lot of money this money, despite having not sold any of the players they had on their books last season: Nico Paz re-joined Como for €60m after Los Blancos bosses activated the €9m buy-back clause they had, while they also received €20m from the sale of 50% of Victor Munoz’s rights after he joined Liverpool from Osasuna. There will be more money coming in this way in the coming weeks, as Alvaro Rodriguez’s impending move to Bournemouth will bring in €12.5m and another €12.5m could arrive if Sergio Arribas is sold to Benfica . And it’s about to get even better for Real Madrid, as former defender Mario Gila is about to be sold to AC Milan. As per Marca , Milan are about to spend a total of €30m (€25m fixed plus €5m in add-ons) to sign Gila. Real Madrid retained a 50% sell-on clause when they sold him to Lazio four years ago, and that will allow them to net a minimum of €12.5m, although that could rise to €15m if all variables are met. Gila deal takes Real Madrid income well over €100m Real Madrid may have spent around €85m this summer (€55m on Marc Cucurella, €20m on Denzel Dumfries and €9m on Paz), but they are in profit despite not selling any of their existing players – midfielder Dani Ceballos has left, although his contract was mutually terminated. The deals for Paz (€60m), Victor Munoz (€20m), Alvaro Rodriguez (€12.5m), Alex Jimenez (€12.5m) and Gila (€12.5m) means that over €100m will have come into the Bernabeu by the time all of the proposed deals are finalised. It shows that Real Madrid’s decision to include 50% sell-on clauses in their outgoing deals continues to be a masterstroke, and they will no doubt continue doing in upon selling more La Fabrica talents this summer.
