Real Madrid forward Rodrygo delivers hopeful recovery update

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo delivers hopeful recovery update Physical issues and injuries suffered by their players has been one of the most significant problems that Real Madrid have faced in the last few years, and this problem has undoubtedly played a role in them going the last two seasons without a trophy. The Merengues have taken several steps to address this issue, including making some changes to their medical team, and it remains to be seen how this problem would evolve in the coming season. One of the Real Madrid players who has been particularly affected by this problem is the forward Rodrygo Goes. His latest injury came in the second half of the last season, as an ACL tear caused his campaign to end only in the month of March. To make things worse, this injury also meant him missing out on playing in the World Cup 2026 . Thus, the Brazilian forward has been watching the competition mainly from the sidelines and his supporting his team. He commented on the Canarinha’s performance as he appeared in an interview with Diario AS , and in this same media appearance, also commented on his physical situation. Rodrygo expressed his satisfaction with how his recovery is going: “I’m doing very well. Honestly, things are going really well. I’m happy with my progress, and I feel better every day. It’s a process that requires a lot of patience. Some days you don’t wake up feeling so good, while on others you wake up feeling great, like you could go for a run or even play. You just have to be patient throughout the process. But I’m doing well, I’m happy. All the feedback I’ve received has been positive.” While commenting on the hardships of the last few months, he also talked about how this testing phase would make him stronger: “These last three and a half months have been a bit of everything: very good days, but also very bad ones when I was in a lot of pain. It’s been very difficult—the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through. There are days when you wake up with no strength for anything, and others when you feel full of energy. I’ve experienced it all. I’ve gone through all of it, and I know it will make me stronger when I get the chance to play again.” Hopefully, he would soon recover fully, not only from this injury, but also from the physical problems that have plagued him for a great part of his career. As far as this injury is concerned, he would still need some more time to return to competitive fitness, and is also not expected to join his new coach, Jose Mourinho, for the start of the preseason. Once his injury problems are over, Rodrygo Goes can make himself valuable for the new coach as Real Madrid embark on a new project, after overcoming this physical problem.
